Imagination Overload

My Sweeties

Nothing to exciting has happened this week....Kira was complaining that her ear hurt on Sat. so we took her to Well Quest because her pediatricians office was closed. Nurse practioner said she had an ear infection but later on we discovered the real reason why her ear was hurting. It was all raw and oozing on the back. I think it may have been dry skin that split her ear and made it totally raw. So now I  think the nurse was just trying to tell us when she thought we wanted to hear. Such a crock!!  We played lots of dress up this week. The kids really love all the Halloween costumes they got for Christmas (I got them all for a dollar each after Halloween was over!) Kira had gotten some new princess  dress up stuff for her birthday too. Kevin had fun pretending he was Spider Man and rescuing Kira from the lions. He also had some great Spiderman moves. He apparently though he had super hero strength too because he was trying to lift up the coffee table and ottoman...haha!

Kevin had a class trip to the Rogers Airport on Thursday. He had a ball!! Of course the bus ride was his favorite. He talked about the same stuff again over and over (like how the bus was diesel, it had big tires, and made a beeping noise when it backed up:) He was fascinated by the airplane and even got to sit in the cock pit and pretend to drive it! They also had a big yellow fire truck there....while Kevin was sitting in the driver's seat....he kept asking the fireman a million questions. It was the cutest thing. He was asking if they used the walkie talkies to call other firemen, if they had to get out to use the fire hose, if the fire truck goes fast, the list went on! His teacher Miss Misty even told the fireman that Kevin can name every kid of car and could probably fix them too!

My friend Kim and I had carpooled to the airport. She had a little boy, Henry, who is Kira's age. We put Henry in Kevin's carseat which is right next to Kira's seat. I looked back and caught Henry and Kira holding hands. The second I said something....they both let go really quick and Henry hid his face. It was adorable. That night Rob asked Kira about Henry. He asked her if he was her friend....and Kira quickly corrected him and said "my boooyfend" It's starting early I guess ;)

Today we had beautiful weather and it was so nice to get out of the house! It almost reached 70. We had such a great time playing at the park with friends! The kids were nice and worn out....so I was able to take a nice long nap along with them :)

This Was Funny

Thought I would share this. Kevin was laying on the floor, not bothering anyone, playing with his VTech computer. He had half of a glass of milk sitting on the coffee table. Kira strolls in and picks up the glass of milk. I see her from the kitchen walking over to where Kevin was laying with this look on her face. From here it happened in slow mo....and I couldnt get to her fast enough. This was the result.....

Busy Week

This past weekend and week were very busy for us! Last Friday Jan 14th was the kids birthday party at theJump Zone. We had a great turn out....lots of friends. I think there were around 26 kids total...ranging from ages 1 to 4. In all the times we've been there.....I dont think I have ever seen either one of my kids have so much fun! Kevin was running around, carefree, playing with all of his friends and Kira was going up and down the slides all by herself. The girl is fearless! They both had a blast....and the best part was no clean up for me!! We also had a special visitor this weekend....Uncle Mike. The kids were happy he was here...especially at their bithday party!
After a nice relaxing day on Monday (Martin Luther King Day), Rob left for New York on Tuesday. He was there until today so it was just the kids and I all week.  Kevin had a big day at school on Tuesday. He went on his first field trip to JB Hunt to see all the tractor trailors and his first bus ride. He was thrilled with both. He kept talking about how his bus was diesel, it was a Ford, and it looked like a prisonor transportor (it was a little while bus, not your typical yellow school bus) so technically he was right :) He wanted this bus to be there so bad on Thursday when he returned to school so he could see it again. He also had a wonderful time seeing the trucks at JB Hunt....he was just a little nervous because he didnt want them to start them up.

Wednesday we had a lunch date with some friends that moved away to Tennesse just about a year ago. It was very nice to see them again and the kids had a wonderful time. That night we got a whopper of a snow storm...2 whole inches that shut NWA down for a few days. It's very frustrating that they dont salt or plow the roads around here! Kevin's school was cancelled and we spend the next two days in the house playing with all the new birthday presents! Daddy came home today too....yeah!!

Double Trouble

Today was a busy and exciting day! Kevin went to school in the morning while Kira and I went to her Gymboree class. After picking Kevin up we deceided to try a Little Gym class for Kevin. He was all excited to go....until we got there. The 3-4 year old class was one that the kids go into the gym by themselves and he wanted no part (shocker). He only wanted to go in...if I did. So we spend our time looking watching from the outside. Kira however....was begging to join the class. Which really didnt surprise me :) After little gym we had a lunch date with Kevin's friends Niko and Will. We went to Pinnacle Mall and had Subway!

Daddy picked up the kids from the mall because I had my dreaded doctor appt. And reason I wasnt looking forward to this was... because the appointment was with Pinnacle Women's Health. On Decemeber 15,  I found out I was pregnant. As much as I knew I had to go, I went kicking and screaming. To my surprise the appt went well and I found out we were having twins...identical twins.

Kevin's 4th Birthday!

Four years ago today a sweet, caring, loving little boy came into my life. I never knew I would be so in love. He amazes me more everyday with the little things he does and the joy he brings our family is incomprehensible.

Today was a wonderful day! We got up early and Kevin opened one of his presents....a box of Matchbox cars. We went to Krispy Kreme for breakfast and got a big SURPRISE! The manager let us come behind the scenes, check out how donuts are made and make our own! Kevin and Kira got to pick their donuts, what type of filling they wanted, and last the topping on top. They had so much fun dunking their donuts in the big vats of chocolate! Then the manager gave Kevin a card for a dozen free donuts a month for a whole year! What a wonderful experience! Then Kevin got his haircut...he wanted it "spikey" for his special day! When we got hom there was a surprise at the door...a gift from Grandma and Pop Pop! Kevin loved that Benson came over to play too. They ran around the house chasing Kira with noisey guns. Poor girl. After a quick nap we headed over to Steak N Shake (Kevin's choice) for some burgers and fries....topped off with a HUGE free "birthday boy" sundae! By the time we got home to sing "Happy Birthday" he was full and didnt want any of the cupcakes we made. Amazingly enough this is the first year Kevin didnt cry at the sound of the birthday song! Yeah!! After opening presents...it was time for a quick bath and bed. He loved all his gifts from Mommy, Daddy, Kira, Grammy, Grandma, and Pop Pop. He got a new bike, rain gear, a monster truck, a race track, a car magazine, a shaving kit, and some games. What a day!!

I am so thankful for my little boy! He brightens my life and makes me the happiest Mommy in the world! Im thankful that he is happy, healthy, and growing like a weed, but on the other hand, I can't believe how fast time flys. I wish I could slow things down and keep him my little boy forever! I love you Kevin....Happy 4th Birthday!
