Fun with Ladybugs!

Later that day....we went out in the backyard to play while Daddy was cutting the grass. Wanted to post a few cute pictures of the kids playing with ladybugs. They were talking to them and naming them....and really having a great time. After they were practicing their jumping...lol. It was very cute :)

Im glad we got some time to play out in the nice weather. It was a nice break after all the rain we had!

Tiny Tots Trip to the Farm

Today Kevin's preschool class took a trip to a little farm in Rogers. It was actually someones farm house whose granddaughter attends Tiny Tots but it was really cute and fun for the kids. They had lots of really friendly farm dogs that the kids loved. The teachers brought carrots and apples so the kids could  feed the horses and donkeys. Kira, Sami, and I meet up with the class and the girls had a blast too. Kira thinks she is part of Kevin's preschool class so she pretty much blends in with all the older kids. She even tried to get in their class picture :)

After feeding the horses and donkeys the kids got a chance to see the ducks in the pond. The farmer told them about the coyotes and how the ducks had to sleep in a special pen at night so the coyotes couldnt eat them. They met the farm cats  and got to sit on the tractor. After they found some eggs that the ducks had layed in different areas of the barn. Last was snack time....they ate rice krispie treats on little blankets that the teachers brought and then got to play a little more in the grass before they left. It was a really fun morning!

Wicked Weather!

These past two weeks we have had some wicked weather in NWA. It has been the most severe spring weather so far since we moved here two years ago. So many severe thunderstorm warnings, tornado watches, tornado warnings, and flash flood warnings! It has rained and hailed sooo much! It all started the Thursday before Easter and today was the supposidly the last day! Thank goodness!!

The friday before Easter we had tornados the closest they have EVER been. We had one touch down briefly right near the airport which is only about 10 minutes away. We had to closely watch the weather report which told us a sever storm dropping tornados was headed right towards us. Right at the last minute the store vearned north more and missed us. We didnt even get rain! But it was pretty scary. We could see the wall cloud right outside our house. Im hoping this weather calms down for a while. NO MORE TORNADOS PLEASE!!!

On the flip side Kevin is kinda loving this weather. He has really been into the weather lately and enjoys seeing some of what he reads in the books. Like hail and tornados!! We watch the weather every morning when he comes into our room :)

Dying Easter Eggs

Today we had lots of stuff planned but couldnt do any of it! This weather has been horrible!!! Its been down pouring for three days straight with severe thunder storms off and on. The worst was Friday...we were under a tornado warning and had a huge wall cloud that we could see from the window of our house. A few tornados breifly touched down close to us....the closest being right near the airport (which is only 10 minutes away). Shortly after the storm arrived it veared up north a little bit and hit Walton Blvd in Bentonville instead of us. We didnt even get rain from it.

We were suppose to go to an Egg Drop today at 10am. This is where they dropped 30,000 eggs from a helicopter for the kids to hunt. They had the Easter Bunny there to take pictures and other some other activities. I thought Kevin would really enjoy seeing the eggs come out of the helicopter....but of course because of the rain all festivities were cancelled :( Instead we hung around the house and went to Walmart to shop for Easter dinner.

Later we dyed Easter eggs. The kids really had lots of fun dying eggs together this year. The whole process was done in about 15 minutes and they did a really good job. Kevin had lots of colorful eggs and Kira's were all green. She really liked the green dye :)

After dinner it was bath time and bed.....to get ready for the Easter Bunny's visit. I forgot to put carrots out again this year....ooops! Glad no one noticed.

Build a Bear

After many times of going to the mall and Kira leaving crying because she wanted to "build a bear" we finally went today while Kevin was in school. She loved the whole experience....considering stuffed animals are her favorite thing in the whole world. She had a very hard time picking out which one she wanted to "build." First she wanted the dog, then dropped it, then she picked up a pink bear, then a rabbit, then back to the pink bear. Decisions....decisions :) Then when it came to stuffing the bear, she got to pick out a heart She wanted the one that said "I love you" so she kissed it and put it in the bear and pushed the pedal to stuff. It was really loud and that freaked her out a little and she started to cry. Once the man was done stuffing her bear she got over it and wanted to give her bear a bath. Then she picked out a pink dress and sparkely silver high heal shoes and told me that hear bear was going dancing. Last she got to pick out some bows for her bears hair. She picked two magenta ones. Since Easter is this Sunday she got to put her bear in an easter basket to bring him home. She named her bear "Baby" and was showing her to everyone at Kevin's school. She was a proud Mommy :)

We had our neighborhood garage sale this past weekend. It was a big pain but atleast we got rid of some unwanted stuff. We made $230 selling some clothes, our weight set, fouton, micorwave, and various other things. I put the rest of the clothes in Rhea Lana's and so far have sold $64 with two days left. Mostly Kira's clothes and some toys.

We've had some pretty warm weather these last two weeks so we've been enjoying some outdoor time. Last week we went to the park with some friends and had a few other get togethers.

I'm 22 weeks this week. Things seems to be going smoothly as far as I know. Babies are moving all over. I feel Baby B a lot. He moves all over at night....guess Im in for it when he's born. No sleep! They are getting very heavy and today I was feeling so much pressure today. They must have been laying really low....because once they changed positions I felt a little better. I have my 24 week appt coming up on May 4th.

Hailey Jane

Feeling a little better the day after surgery
Last night was very scary! Hailey started throwing up around 7pm. We put her outside a few times thinking she would finish her business. Around 9:30pm I actually noticed how much she was throwing up....not much...just about a teaspoon full. When I saw that I started to get nervous. She was acting funny and she looked bloated. Rob and I got ready for bed thinking she would be better by the morning. As I was laying in bed I noticed she was breathing a little heavy. I let it go....slept for about an hour....and I was woken up by her crying in the living room. I went out and she was laying between the two couches (a weird spot that she never lays in). At this point I knew something was wrong. I woke Rob up to look at her and he agreed. She was very, very bloated. I brought her to the emergency animal hospital around 12am where she had an xray and told me her stomach had bloated and flipped.

They brought her into emergency surgery giving her only a 50/50 chance. Since she started vomiting around 7pm and thought her stomach had most likely flipped at that time. The doctor said she would have some kind of dead tissue and would most likely have to have her spleen removed. She went into surgery at 1am and was out by 1:45am. I deceided to stay and the staff there was wonderful. They gave me updated on  Hailey's progress every fifteen minutes or so. I couldnt ask for anything more. The doctor came out and told me that the whole surgery couldnt have gone any better. There was no dead tissue and they thought her stomach was actually flipped for much less time. Probably for around 2 hours versus 6-7. He was able to derotate her stomach and leave her spleen in. He was pretty confident that she would make a full recovery.

I picked her up around 6:30am from the emergency hospital and brought her to Faithful Friends (our regular vet) where she spent the day. She did so well I was able to pick her up that night. She has been doing better and better everyday! Im so happy and relieved to have my puppy home.  What would we do without Hailey Jane!!
When she first got home...we didnt want Holly to jump all over her
Kevin really missed her!
Falling asleep standing up

Spring Soccer

Kevin started soccer again today. He was excited because we thought Daddy was going to be the assistant coach but when we got there someone else had volunteered. It's probably better since Im going to need Rob's help chasing Kira around. She is ALL over the place at his soccer practices....mostly try to get on the field. She wants to play so bad.

Kevin did much better at the start of this season. I think part of the reason was that they changed the time of the practice from 3:00pm to 9:00am. We dont have to wake him up from his nap anymore and he has tons of energy for practice. Once we got there didnt get upset when they started and stayed out on the field the whole time. He listened to the coach (somewhat because half the time he is in la la land) and had some pretty good kicks. He gets a little confused during the scrimages they play and has a tendency to run away from the ball but he'll get the hang of it. He's so cute to watch....I love it! Im so proud of him!! I love that he thinks he is so good too!

After practice we took a trip to Lazy Boy and ordered Kira's big girl furniture. It's so cute and should be here in another week. I cant wait to put it in her room and see what she thinks. She loves to jump all over Kevin's bed so Im pretty sure the same thing will happen with hers. I just have to go out and find her some cute sheets and bedspread! I cant wait to girlie her room up!

Later after naps....Kevin planted his potato and lima beans that he brought home from school (and we rooted). Hopefully if all goes well we will have some potatos to eat in the fall!!

Sunday I went to David's Bridal and got fitted for my bridesmaid dress for Jennie's wedding.
