16 weeks and counting!

Monday I had my 16 week appointment for the babies. I had an ultrasound because I've been a paranoid mess. I just wanted to make sure they were both alive and growing the same. Everything seemed to go well. We found out they are definetly both boys. Baby A who was the smaller one last time is now bigger by 3 days! He measured 17weeks 1 day. And Baby B measured 16 weeks 5 days. So both are measuring about a half to a full week ahead....which Im happy about. I just hope they both keep it up. Since my OBGYN (a monther of twins herself )gives me no advice or any helpful hints on how to manage a twin pregnancy....I bought two books to ready. I really love the one Twins, Triplets, and Quads. It has been so helpful. A lot of people told me that they have followed the book exactly and had big healthy babys. It basically tells you the right way to eat, what to eat, how much water to drink, what supplements to take, etc.etc. I never understood how differently you have to treat a multiple pregnancy vs a singleton. It truely is a totally different world. In general a monther carrying twins measures and feels 6 to 8 weeks ahead of a mother carrying a single baby. So at 16 weeks Im the size of a 22 week pregnant mother. I love reading all about this stuff....it's great! I've also felt the babies move for the first time all this week....maybe I have before this...but this week I know for sure its them! Other than that....Ive been so extremely exhausted and Im still getting pounding headaches. I swear they are migraines. The doctor said this is common during the second trimester and should ease up by the third. But by that point I wont be able to move!

We've had a quite week in general. Nothing much happened. Tuesday was exciting for me because we had cleaning people come for the first time ever! I love not having to do the housework! Especially since its getting increasingly difficult for me! I left Kira alone in her room while I was emptying the dishwasher and came back to find her having a full on coverstation with Joe (the cleaning man). Of course he had NO clue what she was saying....he was just nodding his head as she went on about her stuffed rabbit Carrots, her dollhouse, and how she wanted to have a tea party. I couldnt help but to listen and laugh.

On Wednesday we took my car to the dealership to have an oil change and to have its yearly check. While we waited Kevin was in heaven looking at all the cars inside the dealership. He got in and out and walked around them. Beeped the horns, turned on the flashers, the list is endless. He called them all "his" cars and wanted me to buy every single one. After we went out to lunch with Daddy at Chick Fil A. Kevin brought a potato home from school that we had to stick in water. When it starts to grow we are going to stick it in a pot so it can grow, if we put in a moderately sunny spot, we should have some potatos to eat by the fall. He is really excited about this! Today Kevin and Kira's friend Will came over to play for the day. They had a ball! Kevin and Will get along so great together.

Tomorrow Rob promised Kevin he would take him to the car dealerships to look at cars. He has been looking forward to this ever since Wednesday when we went to the Honda dealership. He has about 3 or 4 places lined up. I think they are Chevy, Ford, Toyota, and BMW. He was also on his best behavior this week anticipating this trip! He is so obsessed....but its so cute....I love that he loves something so much!

He also helped Daddy wash my van and clean out the garage. He did such a great job! We went to two birthday partys. One at Lewis and Clark where the kids got to climb a rock wall (neither of mine would) and then to The Little Gym....which they LOVE!!
