Jersey Shore Time

Airplane Ride
We have arrived in NJ! Mom picked us up from the airport and we drove straight to Lavalette. The kids were really looking forward to some beach time and so were we! After we got there and got ourselves organized we took we went out to dinner. When we got home Rob's two brothers were at the house (Mike and Tommy) and we took a walk down to the bay beach. It was getting dark at this point but the kids didnt care. They ran in and out of the water in their clothes. Kira fell all the way in...got upset for a minute....and then went right back to have more fun.

The next day Rob's parents, Taylor, Barbara, Courtney, and Noah came down to spend the day. We went to the bay beach in the morning and in the afternoon hung out at the house and had a bbq. The kids had fun playing at the playground with their cousins.

The next day we went for a walk on the beach in the morning. Kevin and Kira had soooo much fun on the beach this year. Neither one of them were afraid of the water...which surprised me. They were running in and out of the waves and having a great time! After we went to the bay beach again and spent some time. This was their favorite place to be. The water was nice and calm and they were able to go in and out easily!

That afternoon we put the kids down for a quick nap and then went to Jenkinsons Aquarium and then to the boardwalk for some rides! Everyone had an awesome time! The next day we left early to drive up to Blairstown to begin the wedding festivities.

Week of Wicked Weather!!!!

This week we had some really wicked weather. There were tornados all over the place and it was really pretty scary. We have never had weather like this in the past two years we lived here. So it was all new for us. Sunday night was really bad. We have never had to get in the bathtub before....and we did that night. 3 times to be exact. I tried to make it fun for the kids but Kevin just kept asking a million questions and I could tell he was nervous. It was really stuffy in there after a while and the fact that the dogs kept farting wasnt helping matters :)

Waiting out the storm in Eureka Springs

Tues night was another scary night. We were suppose to get some really horrible weather so to play it safe we packed it up and went to Jesse's parents house about an hour and a half east of here in Eureka Springs. They live way out in the middle of nowhere in a valley and have a basement....so we felt pretty safe there. Although we did have to get into the basement at one point. The night was aweful and no one got any sleep....we were just thankful to have somewhere safer to go. We got up early the next morning and made the drive home.

In between the big storms we tried to have some fun outside in the pool. The kids love putting the slide in the baby pool and sliding in. Sometimes it entertains them for hours....which is nice for me :)

This Sunday we leave for NJ for a week!! So excited!

Kevin's Tiny Tots Graduation

Today was Kevin's three year old Tiny Tots graduation. The whole program was adorable!  Along with singing songs as a group the kids also got to pick a song and sing it by themselves for the parents. Kevin picked ABC's and for the last month Ms. Misty had been telling me how good he was doing in practice and how he was going to have no problem singing in front of the group. Well.....the day of graduation.....Kevin didnt sing any songs. In the group or by himself. He got so nervous in front of all the parents he stood there with his hands in his mouth and looked like he was going to cry through the entire program. I felt really bad for him. After the kids performed all the songs...Ms. Misty gave them their diplomas and a collection of their art work that she put together. As a class we gave Ms. Misty a money tree with $175.00 on it.

Once the program was over we went to the Olive Street Park for a picnic lunch and so the kids could play with all their classmates one last time before summer vacation. Everyone had a blast!
