Kevin Under Water and My Little Diva

Kevin  has never liked water in his face. Even in the bathtub if any drop of water goes in his eyes he yells "mine eyes....mine eyes" until we get it all out. So this summer at the pool I wondered how long, if ever, it would take him to put his face in or under the water. After half the summer Kevin has FINALLY gotten enough courage to swim underwater. Im so proud of him. We have been at the pool so much this summer and he watches all the older kids swim. He always points out all the kids that go underwater and watches them nonstop. Finally, last week he deceided he was going to try it too. He was watching this little boy, Palmer, at the pool and slowly put his face in the water. He slowly pushed off from the side of the pool and swam across to the other side with his face under the water. He has done it nonstop ever since and is so proud of himself for doing it. He swims without his swimmies and wears his goggles so he can see under the water. He jumps off the side of the pool and completely goes under. He also recently started to let Rob throw him in the water. He has made so much progress. We just have to move our way into the deep end now.

Kira on the other hand is my little Diva. I noticed that she started to really love to wear her bracelets. She only had a few so I took her to the store to pick out a bunch with my Kohls cash. She had a ball!! She picked out three pairs of different bracelets and two different necklaces. She thinks she is such a little princess when she wears them....she twirls around and says she is beautiful. I love that she loves herself.

Kira has also been doing really well at the pool. She recently started putting her face underwater and she has been walking around slowly with her face under for short periods of time. She sees Kevin doing it and wants to be like him. Im glad because she is learning. She also loves going down the slides at any pool we go to....as long as someone catches her!

By the end of the summer I hope I have two swimming little kids :)
