Pumpkin Carving

This past weekend we carved our pumpkins that we got from Farmland Adventures. We have a book with different Halloween pumpkin carving designs that the kids like to pick from. Rob and I torture ourselves every year with the difficult designs they pick out. We say every year...."Next year we are doing a traditional jack o lantern".....and every year we let them pick from the book. We'll after this years extravaganza...next year we are DEFINETLY doing a traditional carving!! Way to much work...and the kids will like it the same :)

Every year that we carve pumpkins Kevin gets a little better at participating. The first year we carved with him...we did all the work because he was only 9 months old. The second year....he screamed bloody murder when we  stuck the knife in and started carving. The third year he watched us from a distance with no crying and this year he actually attempted to empty the seeds out with his hands. After a couple times of digging his hands in there he deceided it was to messy for him and quit. Short lived but atleast we got him to participate a little this year! :) Kira has never had any problems. She gets right in there to help....right up til the end....a girl after my own heart!

Here are some pictures of our beautiful creations.
