School Halloween Parties

Kevin and Kira both had Halloween parties at school this year. Kira had a Halloween parade and party at Get Start Preschool and a party at Central United Methodist. I went to her parade at Get Start but wasnt able to go to her CUM party because Kevin's Halloween party at Tiny Tots was the same day.

Kira was so proud marching down the halls in her Little Mermaid costume. She held hands with our neighbors daughter Kayden who is in her class. All of a sudden Kira came running down the hallway. She deceided to escape from the parade and run to me :) It was really cute! After the parade I left. Parents didnt stay for the actual party. The kids went to the "pumpkin patch" (which was nothing more than a bunch of pumpkins in the front yard of the church) to pick a pumpkin to paint. Each of the parents brought in something to contribute to the party. We were assigned grapes. It sounded like the kids had a great time.

Her party at CUM was a little different they didnt have a parade. She came home with a bunch of candy and other junkie things. Sarah the kids were good and all had a great time.

Kevin's Tiny Tots party was a lot of fun. The party started by all the kids going into circle time. One by one they stood up in front of the class and told what they were for Halloween. Kevin wasnt shy at all....he got right up there :) Then they got to decorate cupcakes. Ms. Linda gave the kids a big blob of icing and trays full of Fruit Loops, marshmallows, and other types of goodies to put on their cupcakes.

After the kids ate we all went upstairs to play games. Ms. Linda put a marshmallow on a stick and the kids had to try to catch it in their mouths. Then she lit a candle in a pumpkin and they had to extinguish the flame with a water gun. And then the threw bean bags into a big pumpkin face. There were a lot of kids (14) so it took a long time! They all got a bag full of goodies after then completed each game. It was a lot of fun!
