Today was Kevin's first day of preschool at Tiny Tots. This year instead of Tuesday/Thursday.....he goes Monday/Wed/Friday. He starts this year on the Friday before Labor Day, which I think is a little strange, but their reasoning is beceause they have a lot of stuff to cram in this year...."the sooner the better" His teacher is Ms. Linda. She is new to Tiny Tots this year but I have heard some amazing things about her. She used to teach Mother's Day Out at anothe school. Everyone that had her said she ran her class like a preschool. So that can only mean good things. He was suppose to have Ms. Lori but she moved up to the 5 day class because one of the other teachers retired.
We had orientation this past week. While Ms. Libby talked to the parents in the gym....Ms. Linda had a little lesson for the kids so they stayed in the classroon. Kevin was a little nervous and cried and held onto my leg. When I came to get him he was happy so I was relieved. Ms. Linda said she just had to distract him and he was fine. New enviroment = a little scary!
He did great on his first day....but because of the way he acted at orientation I was a little nervous. He also went this morning kicking and screaming. He did NOT want to go. I felt bad but knew he would have fun once he got there and from then on. Ms. Linda's classroom is Ms. Lori's classroom from last year so Kevin was used to going in there. Ms. Misty and Ms. Lori worked with each other a lot last year. So atleast it was familiar territory to him.
This year looks like its going to be a lot of fun. He has some of the same kids in his class from last year...like Will, Sydney W, Brady, and Carter. So Im excited for him! Here's to another great year at Tiny Tots!
