Today we had Kevin and Kira's birthday party at the Little Gym! They have both been looking forward to this for weeks. We had 23 kids that came ranging from 2-6 so it was a packed house. The kids were all running around like crazy people. It looked like they were all having a great time. The Little Gym girls who organized the party did a wonderful job. They played a few games and activities like Duck Duck Goose (Kevin's choice), Smack the Birthday Cake, the air log, the parachute, and various dances to different songs.
Duck Duck Goose was pretty funny. It was very unorganized no thanks to the kids.....and half of them had no idea what they were doing :) A child would be picked run around the circle 3-4 times instead of one, knock each other over, etc etc. It cracked me up. Kira picked Kevin to chase her and he knocked her over. She fell hard, started screaming, and didnt want to play anymore. That is pretty much when the girls wrapped it up. Next, they played Smack the Birthday Cake. This is when the kids would run and knock over two big mats. This seemed to be all of the kids favorite. They all sat against the wall pretty patiently for their turn....while cheering each other on. Everyone got to go twice. The parachute was fun too. They played all types of games with it. Kevin and Kira got to sit in the middle while all the kids spun them around and sang Happy Birthday. Then they all went underneath the parachute and sang Happy Birthday again.
When all the games were done....it was birthday cake time. Kevin and Kira picked a Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake which turned out really cute!! They were both really sweet with each other during cake time. I loved the way they were looking at each other and smiling. We have it all on video :) They were so excited for their cake. We sang Happy Birthday and Kira blew her candle out and then Kevin. Right after Kevin turned to Kira and gave her a big hug :) We decided to open presents at home to avoid all the chaos. It was a wonderful day and an awesome party!!

Kevin and Kira's Little Gym Birthday Party was fantastic. If I would have been there, you would be watching me there eating that delicious and pretty cake. Well, I too hosted a gorgeous red and white themed party for my son at the local event space and it also was very fun. Everyone had fun time in that bash.
ReplyDeleteI remember one thing about that day having all my friends gather around Mine and Kira's cake and sang Happy Birthday!!! It was awesome back then till now.
